Art from the Streets Show and Sale

Art From The Streets (AFTS) is a volunteer-driven program providing a safe and encouraging environment for Austin homeless to create art, today announced the dates for its 17th Annual Art from the Streets Show and Sale exhibition.

This year's event will be held on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH), 500 East 7th Street at Neches.

Orignal artwork starts at $35 with all sales proceeds, apart from a nominal mounting fee, going directly to the participating artists. A $3 suggested admission donation helps defray the cost of program supplies and materials. Parking is available on the street. Click here for more info.

Hill Country Nights

Hill Country Conservancy is commemorating their 10 year anniversary of land conservation with their annual gala, 'Hill Country Nights'. It is an evening of dinner and dancing featuring entertainment by Marcia Ball.

Art Celebration & Auction

The primary goal of 'Building Bridges' is to celebrate the passion, love and great achievements of all artists with disabilities. With more than 100 pieces of professionally framed artwork, numerous exciting auction packages and a prestigious dinner & awards ceremony, 'Building Bridges' has become a highly anticipated and increasingly profitable affair. All proceeds will benefit The Arc of the Capital Area, a non-profit providing community support and services for Central Texas citizens with developmental disabilities.

In honor of their dedication and continued support, the Texas Cowboys will be honored at this year's event.

Original Art and Jewelry

On Oct 9th from 6-9p.m. at the Betz Gallery in Houston there will be an artist reception for you to meet a special group of Texas artists. A portion of the sales will benefit the Alkek Velodrome.
